Estonian tale translated to French by Laboulaye (1811-1883) and published in his Derniers contes bleus, in 1884. In 1889 the Cuban writer Jose Marti (1853-1895), translated this story to Spanish and created El Camaron Encantado (The Fairy Crawfish) for La Edad de Oro (The Golden Age), his marvelous magazine to the Latin American children.
